Maximising growth in games
HMV UK & Ireland has significantly enhanced both the quality and quantity of space devoted to computer games and consoles, as new console launches, including the Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii, continue to drive an upturn in the cyclical games market.

Bigger and better in books
Following HMV Group’s acquisition of Ottakar’s plc in July 2006, Ottakar’s stores throughout the UK were succesfully integrated into Waterstone’s, including the rebranding of all Ottakar's branches to Waterstone's prior to Christmas 2006. This is enabling the combined business to leverage increased scale and better serve customers
